Meet the LCT Education Director and Teachers.

Jordyn Jones moved home to Lakeland, in 2018 after living in Oklahoma City for four years, where she obtained a Masters of Music in Musical Theatre Performance at the University of Central Oklahoma and taught voice lessons and acting classes at the reputable Dance Unlimited/Spotlight Acting Academy from 2016-2018. While at UCO, she studied voice and vocal pedagogy under Dr. Barbara DeMaio, who encouraged her to explore her legit operatic range, as well as contemporary belt styles. In 2013, Jordyn graduated Cum Laude from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theatre. Jordyn’s love of musical theatre began in the 8th grade, when she was cast in the title role of her middle school’s first production, Cinderella. From then on, Jordyn has never been far from the stage. She has directed and choreographed productions in Oklahoma and at our very own, LCT. She is an adjunct voice teacher for Harrison School of the Arts and runs her own private voice studio. She is an advocate of good vocal health and loves helping students grow their love of performing.

Olivia Billings  is a former school teacher with a B.A. in Musical Theatre from Palm Beach Atlantic University. Olivia was first introduced to the joy and wonder of theatre at age 8 when she took the stage for the first time as the title character in Annie Jr.From then on, she was inspired to promote and develop the fine arts programs in her hometown of LaBelle. After university, she returned home to teach art, music, musical theatre, technical theatre, and choir to K-8th grade. In conjunction with her role as an educator, she premiered a Jr. Thespian Troupe which received 4 Superior ratings while competing at the state level. Since then, Olivia has stepped out of the public school system to focus on raising her two little girls and teaching voice lessons from her home in North Lakeland. In her free time, she loves to perform and has been seen most recently on the LCT stage in Tuck Everlasting and Between the Lines.

Kayla Erickson is a communications director who holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance. She is thrilled to return to teaching at LCT! Kayla not only has experience performing on stage but also as a director and playwright. With over a decade of experience working with children and students, she loves helping others grow in their creative talents through improv, story development, and character building.

Autumn Grinstead is a graduate of Harrison School for the Arts Musical Theatre department and is currently pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre from Marymount Manhattan College in NYC. Her love for theatre started at age eight when she first set foot through LCT’s doors. At first it started with acting classes and summer camps but quickly turned into performing and teching in almost every show. Some of the shows Autumn has been a part of at LCT are Frozen Jr (Elsa), Shrek (Ugly Duckling) and Mamma Mia (Ensemble). She has also assisted in choreography and stage management for many shows. Some of Autumns performances outside LCT include Little Women (Marmee), Hairspray (Tracy), Bright Star (Lucy) and Wedding Singer (Holly). Autumn can also be found teaching summer camps and assisting with LCT’s troupe with unique abilities, Out of the Box. Autumn looks forward to passing on valuable audition and performance knowledge to help inspire the next generation of performers.

Alannah Moyer is beyond excited to be teaching at Lakeland Community Theatre. She first made her debut on LCT’s stage in 2008 in Hansel and Gretel and has enjoyed every production she has been in since! Alannah graduated from Harrison School for the Arts and has a bachelor degree in Music Education from Stetson University. When not at LCT, Alannah works as a chorus teacher at Mulberry High School. She is excited for a fun year of classes!

Marlee Weidner is a senior at Florida Southern College, where she is earning a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. Originally from Nebraska, she has grown to love Lakeland and is proud to now call it home. With a strong foundation in musical theatre, Marlee has developed a particular passion for music direction. She recently assisted with music direction for both youth summer camps at Lakeland Community Theatre and has taught voice and piano through the Barrett School of Music, also supporting their summer camp programs. As a performer, Marlee has appeared with the Lakeland Symphony Orchestra in Madama Butterfly and made her LCT stage debut in Catch Me If You Can.
