We at Lakeland Community Theatre believe that the Fine Arts are an important component of a well- rounded education. To that end we have established our Theatre for Youth program with two shows each season, and created a curriculum of classes to introduce children to the arts, and to encourage and nurture talent. LCT's classes are taught by theatre professionals, and experienced theatre students. Course material includes audition techniques, dance and acting instruction, technical theatre, and more. Our goal is to give children a well-rounded theatrical experience, enabling them to succeed and be safe in our theatre family.

Learn from a Disney performer about characters, songs, and even getting a job as an entertainer in one of Central Florida's Amusement Parks!

Playhouse Story Trunk    Instructor: Ms. Maureen Whelan
Work on acting and teambuilding skills by picking a trunk and perform a story with the costumes and props found inside!

Bring a favorite stuffed animal, book, toy, or snack to the theatre, and write & star in your very own commercial to promote your item!
