Synopsis:
Based on the book by L.M. Montgomery • Music by Norman Campbell, Lyrics by Don Harron, Normand and Ellen Campbell. Celebrating its 100th anniversary, Anne of Green Gables tells the story of Anne Shirley, the orphan who comes to Green Gables full of hope for a new life with Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, who have agreed to adopt a boy to help with the farmwork. Imagine their consternation when Anne is sent from the orphanage by mistake! With her fiery temper and penchant for misadventures, Anne brings laughter, love and more than a little bewilderment to the village of Avonlea. Lakeland Community Theatre's musical version of Anne of Green Gables is sure to delight audiences of all ages.
